  • Overview

    The Maintenance Control Specialist acts as a liaison to Maintenance Control for the sole purpose to support Maintenance Control. The Maintenance Control Specialist will be tasked with analyzing Sabre and TRAX reports such as delays, deferrals, components ordered, transcribing that data to the daily operations report for Spirit Management. TRAX data entry of log-pages, delays and cancellations, Audits of deferred maintenance items in Sabre and TRAX for accuracy and confirms both systems match. Ensures that all parts which are needed to clear DMI’s are ordered and coordinated with Maintenance Control to be issued.

    Responsibilities

    • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)
    • Effectively update Daily Operations Report.
    • Maintain accuracy of Daily Operations Report.
    • Provide timely updates on scheduling Deferred Maintenance Items prior to expiration.
    • Effectively coordinate with Maintenance Controller for assigning Deferred Maintenance Item work during overnight.
    • Effectively audit Log pages prior to computer entry and audit Deferred Maintenance Items in TRAX and Sabre
    • Ability to understand complex log page entries and summarize key terms that are related to Maintenance Control.
    • Proficient in computer skills such as; Microsoft Office, Sabre, TRAX, FLYdocs.
    • Ability to interface and provide detail reports to senior management as needed.
    • Knowledge and experience of airline technical operations a plus.
    • Prepares Daily Operations report and Deferred Maintenance Item reports for management as directed.
    • Must be able to access and understand aircraft manuals and parts catalogs.
    • Must be able to understand logbook procedures and computer based aircraft maintenance tracking systems.
    • Provide updates to Maintenance Control regarding, parts tracking so Deferred Maintenance.
    • Items (DMI's) can be scheduled for completion.          
    • Ensure all aircraft entries are properly coded and audited.
    • Perform other specific duties as assigned by the Maintenance Control Supervisor and as described throughout the General Maintenance Manual.

    Qualifications

    • High School or GED
    • Aircraft Technical background
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Ability to maintain composure in high stress environment.
    • Effective communications in a fast-paced environment
